I don’t know if you’ll find this as fascinating as I did.

But one of the most profound concepts I heard from a kung fu master that is easily applied to marketing and business is this:

“It’s not how fast you are, it’s how quickly you get there”

He was talking about positioning yourself in a fight so you don’t have to be fast, because you are already “there” before your opponent even knows what hit him. And the second he said it, I remember making a mental note of it, and later writing it down.

Example:

In business, this can be as simple as leveraging others with bigger, more prestigious, and more celebrity-like brands.

Are certain Nike shoes any more valuable just because Michael Jordan’s name is on them?

Not really…

But with that name, they ooze value, prestige, and talent for the buyer.

Thus:

People line up at night to pay for them.

If you can get to the market first, you’ll always win.

i.e., it’s ain’t how fast you are, it’s how quickly you get there.

This is how you cut in line on your way to success in marketing online.

You can spend years and decades slugging it out or you can find ways to get there quicker and get people to buy your high ticket offers.

That’s been my case, at least.
