Best for Halloween

The best costumes for Halloween are the safest costumes.

Buy or make bright costumes. Keep the costume short enough so your kids won’t trip on them or come in contact with flame. Add reflective tape to attach to the costume and the candy bag. When purchasing Halloween “gear” check the labels that indicate everything is flame resistant.

Make sure the Halloween costume does not block the child’s vision. And masks can block vision if eye cutouts are not large enough. Plus masks are really sweaty and become uncomfortable to wear during the walk. It’s another thing you may end up carrying. Put some non toxic make up on your child and he/she will be more comfortable.

Never use decorative contact lenses. Without a prescription they are dangerous and illegal.

Have a safe and Happy Halloween
